Harney and New Windsor Money Bonanza Raffle

Yesterday May 16th. The Harney and New Windsor Volunteer Fire Company's held its 6 annual Big Money Bonanza Raffle. Over 1600 tickets were sold this year. Both fires companies would like to thank everyone that came out this year making this another great successful year. National Fallen Firefighters

National Fallen Firefighters Weekend held in Emmitsburg, MD was this weekend. The survivor family members from all acorss the county stay in Gettysburg during the event. Sunday morning they are all moved by bus to the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial at the National Fire Academy in Emmitsburg. Record Year and Review
Lieutenant Jonathan Harman, January 11
2025 was a very busy year for the Harney Volunteer Fire Company. Members were dispatched for record 351 calls. The most ever for Carroll County Station 11. Many other neighboring companies reported a record number of calls for 2025 as well. Some members responded to over 100 of those 351 calls. Units respond to MVC

December 16 at 1643 Engine 111 and Special Unit 11 responded for the MVC in the 2300 block of Emmitsburg Road in Adams County Pa. Units respond to trailer fire

December 13 at 1606 units were alerted for the large vehicle fire on Hoffman Home Road in Adams County Pa. Engine 111 and Engine Tanker 112 responded. Crews arrived to find a trailer with large haybales on fire. Crews operated on the scene for several hours.... (Full Story & Photos)
